The Studio offers tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Located within the grounds of Larmer Tree gardens the property offers a lounge and kitchenette on the ground floor with bedroom and bathroom access via an external staircase to the first floor. There is small private garden with furniture to enjoy should the sun be shining!

Guests have access to the Studio and Studio garden, should Larmer Tree gardens be open to the public you are welcome to explore. Please note, the gardens are closed to visitors from November to March for winter.

We will be on hand throughout your stay should you need us, otherwise we will leave you to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Believed to have been built in the late 1890’s, Larmer Tree Studio was originally the Golf Club Rooms. When General Pitt Rivers created Larmer Tree Gardens, there was also a golf course and racecourse in the fields opposite, hence the need for rooms to provide hospitality. Recently this quirky property has been transformed into luxury accommodation for two guests, with many of the original features restored. The house is set in a rural location and has no neighbours apart from peacocks and a pair of free flying Macaws.

Parking in the car park opposite the property. There is no public transport so guests need their own vehicle.

Please note, Larmer Tree is home to 15 free roaming Peacocks, for this reason please keep dogs on leads in the gardens and surrounding areas.
